I am a historian of American memory, with a particular focus on monuments and memorials. Currently I work as the Nancy L. Buc ’65 LLD’94 hon. Postdoctoral Fellow at Brown University’s Pembroke Center. My research reconsiders the relationships between the American public, commemoration, and the construction and maintenance of democracy.
I hold a Ph.D. and an M.A. from the University of Minnesota, and an A.B. from Bryn Mawr College. My CV is available here.
In my free time, I love to travel, find new bookstores, and read. View my travel writings here.
